by snowbird init has come to my attention that a much-beloved poster on this forum has been hurt by the insensitivity shown toward her account of how badly she was treated by the wt.. i realize this is a place where are all welcome, and barring any posting guidelines violations, we are free to air our views without fear of any backlash.. however, please keep in mind that most posters here - yours truly being one of them - view the wt in a negative light.
with all the evidence out there pertaining to its deceitfulness, how can anyone view it otherwise?.
i reached out to you, angel eyes, because i sense that you need a friend.

Mouthy's 80th Birthday ---- Thanks to all
by gusgus1 ingreat big thanks to all who participated in my mother's 80th birthday.... it was great, and she was trhilled..... she had a smile on her face the whole day long.... so many showed up to celebrate, and those that couldn't shared by phone calls, cards, flowers and gifts.
the memory album i put together for her turned out great, so thanks to so many who sent me a page to put in, it's a memory she'll have forever.... all her children and grandchildren were there, except for the ones in montreal who are still jw's.. .

What is the Biblical basis JWs are not allowed to 'witness' in churches?
by isaacaustin inwe know the book of acts shows paul doing just that.
since the wt claims to model itself off the 1st century christians, why this change?.

More Beatles Remasters..........
by lepermessiah insorry, i cant resist another beatles topic.. i have picked up all but three of the beatles remasters.. they sound totally brilliant....... i heard a few complaints about the white album (too "muddy" in places) but overall i was very excited about the sound.that album has such an interesting dynamic that i could see how some people would feel that way.
that album is a brilliant muddled mess of styles - only the beatles could pull it off.. abbey road is still the album i am getting a big kick out of - here comes the sun you can hear the pick hitting the strings on the guitar, mean mr mustard, the intro sounds like you are sitting in the room with ringo, etc...........i keep playing with the balance knob on my stereo to hear the different channels and really hear the details......great fun .

yes snowbird i was accused of sending paul (i think was him?) a pm to make him feel guilty, i clearly defended myself and mentioned an apology as im forever having people conclude things about me when ive not even said that. Mouthy didnt wish to apologise....so i apologised to end any nasty taste before it started....yes i apologised, i'll apologise whether im in the wrong or not, afterall on this forum sometimes thats how an active jw has to be, and i truly truly dont mind because i love everyone and never wish to hurt anyone (as i told mouthy) AND dont wish to go through life fighting with people. We are all lovers of God.x

Im pleased you have a daughter who has stood by you. I cant imagine how it must feel to have lost a daughter because of her beliefs. I know many jw who still talk to family members who have been df, they ring them and have them over for dinner....it shoudnt be one rule for one etc...if someone doesnt want to remain a jw then surely thats THERE freewill??
